I was going to say it's been a long time since I've written a blog... but in truth, it's been a long time since I've published one. In the past few years, my nearest and dearest have become mothers and fathers and caregivers and lovers of the tiny people new to this world. Some, I think are not so new to the world with their wise expressions and the way they stare into your eyes until you become uncomfortable. The past six months in particular, have been a deep dive into photographing my friends and community members as they cross through the portal to parenthood - and here, a new series is born.
I am your mother.
Over the coming months I'll be sharing with you the stories, experiences, beauty, muck and mire of their journeys - with words written as collaborations between us and pictures captured through my lens.
If you have a story of motherhood you want to tell... I want to sit with you.
Email me at arrive.dailyceremony@gmail.com and we'll make it happen.
With love,
M.
